Sundance Sunday

After church one Sunday in September, we headed up to Sundance Ski Resort to ride the lift up to the top of the mountain. (All these pictures are from S's camera.)

Here we are on the shuttle:

S and me on the lift:
Our whole family is in this picture somehow. Can you spot us all?

A furry little friend we encountered at Stewart Falls on the hike down:

We want our kids to know that there are many many ways to commune with their Heavenly Father and find joy in spending time together as a family. What a blessing it is that we live so close to such beautiful places -- the best of the Lord's creations. The kids love hiking and enjoying the view. While we were on the lift, S pointed to a spot in the distance and began telling me of the house he was going to design and build for me when he becomes an architect. Not too big, lots of windows, and a room for him :) Perfect.

Sunday Practice

On Sunday after Church we spent a nice lazy afternoon watching our kids practice casting their fishing poles. We started in the front yard and stayed there for quite awhile watching O while sitting in our $10 fold-out lawn chairs. J thought it would be good for some of our neighbors to witness the Judds being (as he put it), "so white trash." (Yeah, that's yellow trash to you, mister!) The only thing missing was a 6-pack of beer. Alas, that will always be missing from our plastic fish casting adventures!

O got the hang of it very quickly and was soon casting 70 feet or more. Very impressive.

H is our little "monkey see, monkey do"

I love O's serious expression and complicated little dance.

H's little stance lately with his hands on his hips always makes me smile.

We finally moved to the backyard and spent the rest of the afternoon catching H. He just chased around the plastic fish at the end of the poles, laughing hysterically.

And this is what he finally did to his pole.

The Monkeys in Their Penguin Suits

When Mom & Dad Kim came for a visit last week they brought the boys some new Easter clothes. What do you think of my handsome boys?

Here, H is trying to climb out of the stroller so he can come see the picture, O is being himself, and S is still posing, as still as a statue.
...Enjoying the bubbles from their Easter baskets

As I write this, S is reading, O is throwing Reese's peanut butter eggs up and down around our living room, and H is resisting his nap. J is on the couch listening to music. Dinner's in the oven, and church was uplifting and spiritual. Love the Lazy Sundays!
