Boating trip with friends

In the afternoon of September 11th we went boating with friends out on Utah lake. Here are a few pictures of my awesome wife wakeboarding for the first time ever and the kids riding the tube.

Backpacking in Timpanogos Meadows

On Sept. 10th O. and Dad decided to have some time together and go camping up in the meadows on the west side of Timpanogos via Battle Creek Canyon. Here we are loading the FJ with gear, including, the Optimus Prime pillow.





O. starting the hike up the mountain and stopping all along the way looking for new discoveries.









There were many places along the way where they needed to cross the river.





Above the main Battle Creek falls they saw all kinds of fascinating water features and good resting spots.









They continued up higher where the trail starts to get grassy after about 2.5 miles.





Just as the sun sets and the surroundings start to darken they find a good camping spot and settle in for the night and exchange many bedtime stories.



The boys waking up in the morning, they both are not morning people.









After some breakfast and fun times they start their way back down.
